Taką informację dostałem od Product Marketing Manager - Tim Del Chiaro:
Delphi 2005 Personal was intended to be used for some limited
promotions, bundled with magazines and books. Now that we're three
versions beyond that and have newer versions that will give a better
first impression and have our new Delphi Prism .NET product, Delphi 2005
reached its end of life phase. Delphi 2005 was officially de-supported
in December 2008 and at this time we have no plans to start offering it
again.
Our currently available versions are 2009, 2007, 2006 (available until
August 2009) and 7 (for users who need the pre-Galileo IDE).
If the goal is for the user to try out components with the IDE, then
they should be able to do that using one of our latest trial editions.
If the goal is for the user to be able to get a free Personal edition
and add in third party components to create a professional level IDE
without paying us for it, that's not something we plan to enable going
forward.
Musisz się zająć nowymi odsłonami Delphi, albo Lazarusem (który jest dostępny za free, także do użytku komercyjnego).
